Redsphere, groupe de Nouvelle Calédonie formé en 2015, sont de retour cette année avec un nouvel EP. Intitulé Regnum Lupus, il est disponible dès le 27 janvier via M&O Music et Season Of Mist. Pour cet EP, le groupe accueille A.SA (Azziard, ex The Negation) au chant et Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy, The Lucid…) à la batterie.

Le premier titre annonce la couleur, avec un death metal de très grande qualité servi par des rythmiques qui donnent instantanément envie d’headbanger. La puissance vocale de A.SA donne une vraie identité à la composition. On retrouve également des riffs de guitare puissants qui viennent ajouter à ce que le titre à de très bon à proposer. On enchaîne ensuite avec le single de cet EP, « A Vicious Century », qui a eu le droit à une lyric vidéo. De quoi vous faire une belle idée de ce que le groupe a à proposer sur cette nouvelle sortie.

Le sujet principal de cet EP est le suivant: Notre société est pervertie, manipulée et l’être humain tombe de plus en plus chaque jour dans la médiocrité. Ce thème est bien illustré tout au long de l’EP mais est bien mise en avant dans le titre « War And Lies » qui ne laisse aucun répit à l’auditeur. Le dernier titre, « A New Order » vient remettre une couche de violence avec un titre qui souhaite nous faire nous lever contre cette fatalité décrite tout au long de l’EP.

Il est évident que cette nouvelle sortie de Redsphere fera date dans la discographie du groupe! Le nouveau line-up apporte de nouvelles sonorités au groupe néo calédonien et annonce de belles choses pour la suite. Fans de death metal nous ne pouvons que vous conseiller d’aller écouter et de vous procurer Regnum Lupus.

Redsphere, a band from New Caledonia formed in 2015, are back this year with a new EP. Titled Regnum Lupus, it will available on the 27th of January via M&O Music and Season Of Mist. For this EP, the band welcomes A.SA (Azziard, ex The Negation) on vocals and Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy, The Lucid…) on drums.

The first track announces the color, with a death metal of very high quality served by rhythms which give instantly desire to headbang. The vocal power of A.SA gives a real identity to the composition. We also find powerful guitar riffs that add to what the track has very good to offer. Then we go on with the single of this EP, « A Vicious Century », which had the right to a lyric video. Enough to make you a nice idea of what the band has to propose on this new release.

The main subject of this EP is the following: Our society is perverted, manipulated and the human being falls more and more every day into mediocrity. This theme is well illustrated throughout the EP but is well put forward in the track « War And Lies » which does not leave any respite to the listener. The last track, « A New Order » comes to put back a layer of violence with a track that wishes to make us stand up against this fatality described throughout the EP.

It is obvious that this new release of Redsphere will be a milestone in the discography of the band! The new line-up brings new sounds to the New Caledonian band and announces great things for the future. Fans of death metal we can only advise you to go and listen to Regnum Lupus.
