Après deux EP en autoproduction, A Better Tomorrow en 2017 et Disconnected en 2019, les Allemands de From Fall To Spring sortent enfin leur premier album via Arising Empire. From Fall To Spring, c’est un mélange de métalcore, de brutalité, et de hiphop faisant parler d’eux outre-Rhin suite à leur participation à la selection Allemande de l’Eurovision 2023. 11 millions de streams sur Spotify pour leurs premières singles, il y a de quoi attiser notre curiosité non ?

Ces dernières années, la créativité dans les mélanges de genre en est à son apogée et fonctionne à merveille. Dans la lignée des morceaux mélangeant tantôt du hip-hop, parfois de l’électro ou même les deux, on a eu de très beaux exemples chez Falling In Reverse ou encore Electric Callboy. Aujourd’hui, c’est un autre groupe allemand qui se prête à l’exercice avec 11 chansons pour le moins catchy ! Le chant rap de Philip Wilhelm et Lukas Wilhelm est très bon, et le tout premier morceau en sera témoin. La thématique de la santé mentale, très répandu dans la vague core est à l’honneur sur « BR4INFCK ».

Une belle vibes Linkin Park ressort fortement des titres dont sur « Beastmode » et ses scratchs ou « Draw The Line ». Il faut dire qu’ils n’ont pas à s’en cacher, les américains nous ont offert nos premières titres métal/rap qui continueront d’être jouer toute notre vie. On apprécie cette « descendance », et comment les nouveaux groupes d’aujourd’hui s’approprie les codes d’avant. Les élèments de synthé prennent une place à part entière dans cet album et on ressent que Simon Triem y prends un sacré plaisir, notamment sur « Destiny » ou « Supernova » où le clavier donne la rythmique. Sur ce premier, le breakdown est exécuté à la perfection, et on imagine déjà les pits en folie lors des lives.

From Fall To Spring offre un premier album très convaincant. La créativité des compositions dans le hip/hop/trap/core est à son apogée ces dernières années, et FFTS viennent clairement apporter leur pierres à cet édifice. On espère les voir passer en France pour voir le résultat en live.

In the last few years, the creativity in genre mixing is at its peak and works wonderfully. In the line of the tracks mixing sometimes hip-hop, sometimes electro or even both, we had very nice examples with Falling In Reverse or Electric Callboy. Today, it is another German group which lends itself to the exercise with 11 songs for the least catchy! Philip Wilhelm and Lukas Wilhelm‘s rap vocals are very good, and the very first track is a witness of it. The theme of mental health, very common in the core wave is in the spotlight on « BR4INFCK ».

A nice Linkin Park vibe comes out strongly on the tracks like « Beastmode » and its scratches or « Draw The Line ». It should be said that they do not have to hide from it, the Americans offered us our first metal/rap titles which will continue to be played all our life. We appreciate this « descent », and how the new bands of today appropriate the codes of before. The elements of synth take a full place in this album and we feel that Simon Triem takes a lot of pleasure in it, especially on « Destiny » or « Supernova » where the keyboard gives the rhythmic. On this first one, the breakdown is executed to perfection, and we can already imagine the pits in madness during the lives.
