En ce jour de fête nationale beaucoup attendent les feux d’artifice avec impatience, mais de notre côté nous nous rendons à La Bulle Café! La salle accueille une soirée musicale entre post punk et indie rock, avec les néerlandais de Tramhaus et les locaux de Future EXES! On ne pouvait pas manquer ça et beaucoup ont eu la même idée que nous puisque la salle affiche complet ce soir! Une belle soirée d’été qui s’annonce et qu’on vous raconte:

On commence donc avec Future EXES qui sont prêts à tout pour nous montrer toute l’étendue de leur talent. Leur concert à La Malterie en mai dernier nous avait déjà totalement convaincu de suivre leur travail de prêt, mais celui de ce soir va nous confirmer qu’ils ont tout des grands. Dès le premier morceau la sauce prend et le public de La Bulle commence à se dandiner au rythme des pépites indie rock du groupe lillois. On entend rapidement des chuchotements louant la prestation de la formation, et force est de de constater que le groupe fait clairement l’unanimité ce soir! On aura même le droit à un nouveau morceau qui va totalement nous conquérir, une fois encore. Le quatuor lillois nous montre tout son talent avec un canon magnifique en fin d’un des titres joués ce soir, et encore une fois le public est ravi d’entendre quelque chose d’aussi abouti. Leur set file beaucoup trop vite à notre gout et on arrive rapidement au dernier morceau. Une dernière occasion de danser et de profiter de chaque note du quatuor. Le groupe nous remercie pour notre écoute et nous donne rendez-vous très vite pour de nouvelles aventures musicales.
On avait clairement eu un coup de cœur pour Future EXES en mai dernier, mais la prestation de ce soir était encore plus magistrale. Le groupe a déjà tout d’un grand et on espère pouvoir entendre les versions studio de toutes ces pépites très vite! Foncez les voir dès que possible, vous trouverez sans aucun doute un des futurs grands groupes français!
Il est temps d’accueillir Tramhaus sur la scène, et là aussi le public est prêt à en prendre plein les oreilles! Dès « Marwan », la musique des néerlandais nous frappe par sa qualité! Il faut dire que en plus de la précision chirurgicale des parties instrumentales, le chant et les mouvements scéniques de Lukas Jansen ne peuvent que nous mettre un claque! Chaque morceau est une pépite de post punk, avec parfois des influences musicales autres qui viennent pointer le bout de leur nez. A chaque titre les danses saccadées se multiplient aussi bien dans le public que sur scène, avec l’impression pour nous d’assister à la prestation d’un groupe déjà bien installé! Le public de la Bulle est en feu et la chaleur commence à se faire insoutenable, signe d’une excellente soirée! Mais le groupe ne se démonte pas et « Amour Amour » ou l’excellent « I Don’t Sweat », qui pour le coup ne reflète absolument pas l’état du public à ce moment du show! « Minus Twenty » annonce déjà la fin du set, qui a été mené tambours battants. Mais le groupe revient vite pour quelques décharges musicales supplémentaires. « Night Shift » ou encore « Karen Is A Punk » laissent aux musicen.ne.s l’occasion de nous faire bouger une dernière fois avant que les forces nous quittent définitivement.
Tramhaus ont donné ce soir leur deuxième concert lillois en quelques mois, et le public a une fois encore répondu présent! Il faut dire que la prestation des néerlandais est hypnotique et donne envie de se plonger totalement dans cet univers post punk totalement maîtrisé. On espère les revoir très vite dans le coin dans une salle encore plus grande! Le public lillois aime le post punk et on l’a clairement ressenti ce soir avec cette prestation inoubliable du groupe néerlandais qui a largement trouvé son public!

Many people are looking forward to the fireworks this National Day, but we’re off to La Bulle Café! The venue is hosting an evening of post-punk and indie rock, with Dutch band Tramhaus and locals Future EXES! We couldn’t miss it, and many people had the same idea as us, as the venue is sold out tonight! It’s shaping up to be a great summer evening, and we want to tell you all about it:

So we start with Future EXES, who are ready to do anything to show us the full extent of their talent. Their concert at La Malterie last May had already convinced us to follow their work closely, but tonight’s show will confirm that they have all the makings of the greats. As soon as the first track hits, the crowd at La Bulle starts swaying to the rhythm of the band’s indie rock nuggets. We soon heard whispers of praise for the band’s performance, and it’s clear that they’ve got everyone going tonight! We’re even treated to a new track that will totally win us over, once again. The quartet from Lille show off all their talent with a magnificent canon at the end of one of the tracks played tonight, and once again the audience are delighted to hear something so accomplished. Their set went by far too quickly for our liking and we quickly reached the last track. A last chance to dance and enjoy every note of the quartet. The band thanked us for listening and said they’d be back soon for more musical adventures.
We clearly fell in love with Future EXES last May, but tonight’s performance was even more masterful. The band already have all the makings of a great one, and we hope to be able to hear the studio versions of all these nuggets very soon! Go and see them as soon as you can, you’re sure to find one of the great French bands of the future!
It’s time to welcome Tramhaus to the stage, and here too the audience are ready for an earful! From ‘Marwan’ onwards, the Dutch band’s music strikes you with its quality! In addition to the surgical precision of the instrumental parts, Lukas Jansen‘s vocals and stage movements are bound to give us a slap in the face! Each track is a nugget of post-punk, with the occasional hint of other musical influences. With each track, there’s a lot of jerky dancing both in the audience and on stage, giving us the impression that we’re witnessing the performance of a band that’s already well established! The audience at La Bulle was on fire and the heat was beginning to become unbearable, a sign of an excellent evening! But the band didn’t give up and « Amour Amour » and the excellent « I Don’t Sweat », which in no way reflected the state of the audience at that point in the show! « Minus Twenty » heralded the end of the set, which had been carried off with a bang. But the band soon returned for a few more musical outbursts. « Night Shift » and « Karen Is A Punk » give the musicians a chance to get us moving one last time before our strength leaves us for good.
Tramhaus played their second gig in Lille in a few months, and once again the crowd turned out in force! It has to be said that the Dutch band’s performance is hypnotic and makes you want to immerse yourself in their totally mastered post-punk universe. We hope to see them back in the area very soon, in an even bigger venue! Lille audiences love post-punk, and we clearly felt it tonight with this unforgettable performance by the Dutch band, who really found their audience!
