Une partie de l’équipe est à Paris pour un week-end de concert très attendu. Et le premier de la série est la release party de Red Cloud, qui nous avaient enchanté avec leur premier album sorti plus tôt cette année. Direction L’International pour cette soirée qui s’annonce unique, vu que ce concert sera un des derniers de Laura, la claviériste du groupe. The Redfull Dogs et Fluzz sont également au programme, prêts à chauffer le public parisien.

On commence la soirée avec le trio de blues rock parisien Fluzz. Les trois musiciens nous emportent en quelques secondes avec leurs riffs et rythmiques magnifiquement interprétés. On ressent la jeunesse du trio, mais on sent leur envie de présenter un set déjà bien rodé. Le petit souci de cable jack de Clément, chanteur guitariste du trio, passera inaperçu grâce à l’impro menée par Léonard à la basse et aux claviers et Maxime à la batterie. On aura même le droit à un solo de batterie très énergique, qui enchantera tout le public. On a passé un très bon moment en leur compagnie et on leur souhaite un avenir radieux, et on va suivre leurs futures sorties de prêt!
On poursuit avec les lyonnais de The Redfull Dogs et leur heavy rock’n’roll! Il ne faudra que quelques secondes au quatuor pour retourner le public avec des morceaux débordants de bonnes vibes! On se croit revenu dans les années 70-80 avec leur style vestimentaire, et leurs torses apparents et leur musique suit parfaitement le tout. Impossible de rester de marbre devant l’énergique déployée par les lyonnais! Le public n’hésite pas à participer sur les refrains, signe d’une prestation très réussie. De faux dollars à l’effigie du groupe voleront dans la fosse pour illustrer un des morceaux. On sent une vraie envie de marquer le public et c’est clairement réussi! Ils nous annoncent un morceau contenant 492 fois le mot jack, puis terminent leur set en beauté avec un dernier titre très entrainant! Les applaudissement qui résonnent jusqu’au bar à l’étage sont signes d’un set totalement réussi. On leur souhaite tout plein de belles dates comme celle-ci et on espère les voir très vite dans nos terres lilloises!
Il est l’heure d’accueillir Red Cloud pour le set tant attendu. Leur classic rock est prêt à nous transporter tout droit dans les années 70! « The Battlefield » démarre le show avec ce son qui nous avait tant marqué lors de notre découverte du groupe au Supersonic il y a un peu plus d’un an. Roxane Sigre nous envoute totalement de sa voix douce et chaude tout en vivant totalement chaque titre interprété. Laura Luiz est en grande forme elle aussi et semble profiter pleinement des derniers moments de live avec ce groupe. Chaque titre est une pépite parfaitement mis en valeur par des musicien.nes au sommet de leur art. « Bad Reputation », « Swallow Me » ou encore « Black Sunlight » montrent la force phénoménale du rock proposé par le groupe! Le public est aux anges et applaudit très largement les solos et autres envolées musicales. En milieu de set, le groupe nous annonce l’arrivée sur scène de sa nouvelle guitariste Amy Prada, qui rejoint les autres pour interpréter trois titres dont un inédit! On sent déjà une grande complicité entre la nouvelle arrivante et les autres membres de la formation et on a hâte de voir ce que cette nouvelle mouture va donner au fil du temps. Il est malheureusement déjà l’heure du dernier titre! Mais « Number One » vient clôre la soirée avec une nouvelle avalanche de riffs et de claviers qui nous transporte une fois encore.
Red Cloud est un groupe à suivre de très près et on va continuer à vous en parler en suivant leurs actualités! Cette date a tenu toutes ses promesses et a montré l’excellente santé de cette formation classic rock française. On leur souhaite un très bel avenir et on espère les voir très rapidement voyager dans le Nord de la France pour une date lilloise! En tout cas on a vécu une belle soirée de rock dans une salle qu’on adore avec une belle dose de découvertes!

The evening kicks off with Parisian blues-rock trio Fluzz. The three musicians sweep us away in a matter of seconds with their beautifully played riffs and rhythms. The trio is young, but you can feel their desire to present a well-honed set. The little cable jack problem suffered by Clément, the trio’s singer-guitarist, went unnoticed thanks to the improvisation led by Léonard on bass and keyboards and Maxime on drums. On ‘Stuff’ there’s even a very energetic drum solo to delight the whole audience. We had a great time with them and we wish them all the best for the future, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on their future releases!
Then it’s on to The Redfull Dogs from Lyon and their heavy rock’n’roll! It only takes a few seconds for the quartet to turn the audience upside down with songs bursting with good vibes! You’d think you were back in the 70s and 80s with their style of dress and exposed torsos, and their music follows suit perfectly. It’s impossible to remain indifferent to the energy displayed by the Lyonnais! The audience didn’t hesitate to join in on the choruses, a sign of a very successful performance. Fake dollars bearing the band’s logo flew into the pit to illustrate one of the tracks. There’s a real desire to make an impression on the audience, and it’s clearly a success! They announce a song containing the word jack 492 times, then end their set on a high with a very catchy final track! The applause that echoed all the way to the bar upstairs was the sign of a totally successful set. We wish them lots of great dates like this one, and hope to see them in Lille very soon!
It’s time to welcome Red Cloud for their long-awaited set. Their classic rock is ready to transport us straight back to the 70s! « The Battlefield’ kicks off the show with the sound that so impressed us when we discovered the band at the Supersonic just over a year ago. In the middle of the set, the band announced the arrival on stage of their new guitarist Amy Prada, who joined the others to perform three tracks, including one previously unreleased! There’s already a great sense of complicity between the newcomer and the other members of the band, and we can’t wait to see what this new line-up will come up with over time. Unfortunately, it’s already time for the last track! But ‘Number One’ brings the evening to a close with another avalanche of riffs and keyboards that once again sweeps us away.
Red Cloud are a band to keep an eye on, and we’ll be keeping you posted on their latest news! This date kept all its promises and showed the excellent health of this French classic rock band. We wish them all the best for the future and hope to see them travel to the North of France very soon for a date in Lille! In any case, we had a great evening of rock in a venue we love, with a great dose of new discoveries!
