Un concert placé sous le signe de la nouveauté et du véganisme s’annonce à La Capsule. Play Loud Asso nous ramène Divine Sentence pour leur tournée européenne ainsi que KLVR pour lesquels nous avons l’honneur d’être leur tout premier concert, le groupe étant relativement récent.

Les balances sont faites et la formation des 3 arrageois peut commencer son set. Le jeune groupe comprenant des membres de NerveN nous prend direct avec du son violent et direct. Pas de chichi dans la formation, une guitare, une batterie, une basse et on y va. Le set est court et intense, le chant des différents membres propage l’émotion nécessaire pour le genre emo punk rock rappelant des groupes comme Another Five Minutes. On sent toute l’essence DIY de la scène arrageoise dans cette petite salle (cave) de la Capsule. Remplie d’amis du groupe et de curieux de nouveaux groupes à suivre et voir évoluer. Pour une première, on en redemande et surtout on attend les premiers sons sur les différentes plateformes.
Go vegan or go fuck Yourself. Le message est clair, tant que le véganisme est mis en avant c’est le principal dans notre musique. C’est avec ces mots que Sofia, nous fait comprendre qu’etre un groupe avec une front woman n’est pas un genre de musique mais que le vegan metalcore/ hardcore en est un.
Le concert commence avec tout ce qu’on demande à un groupe vegan aux influences des groupes de metalcore des années 90. Des paroles de luttes véganes, des gros Breakdown, des accords dissonants et un snare tout nouveau tout propre qui a éclaté la salle. Malgré une Sofia amoindrie, la prestation du groupe reste impeccable et les premiers mosh font leur apparition dans cette soirée. Franz, Sofia, Basil et Noah nous envoie une énergie folle, amenant le photographe à feater sur « Fleshbound ». La convergence des luttes fait l’unanimité dans le set de Divine Sentence alliant le véganisme « Silence Exécution », les conflits militaires « Armed Conflict » initialement écrit pour le conflit ukrainiens/russes mais faisant écho à ce que se passe actuellement en Palestine et de féminisme avec une chanson extraite d’un prochain EP à venir pour le groupe.
On ressort de cette soirée bien transpirante avec l’envie de continuer la lutte pour la libération animale. Tâche qui semble encore compliquée au vu des choix pris par le gouvernement français.
Un grand merci aux groupes, à Quentin de Play Loud Assso qui nous a permis d’avoir Divine Sentence sur Arras et à la Capsule d’avoir pu accueillir le concert.
La Capsule is set to host a gig putting forward veganism and new music. Play Loud Asso are bringing Divine Sentence for their European tour, as well as KLVR for whom we have the honour of being their very first concert, the band being relatively new.

The sound check is done and the trio from Arras can start their set. The young band, which includes members of NerveN, take us straight away with their violent, direct sound. No fuss, just guitar, drums and bass. The set is short and intense, with the vocals of the various members conveying the emotion needed for the emo punk rock genre, reminiscent of bands like Another Five Minutes. You can feel the DIY essence of the Arras scene in this small room (cellar) in the Capsule. Filled with friends of the band and those curious about new bands to follow and watch evolve. For a first, we’re asking for more, and above all we’re waiting for the first sounds on the various platforms.
Go vegan or go fuck Yourself. The message is clear, as long as veganism is put forward that’s the main thing in our music. It’s with these words that Sofia makes us understand that being a band with a front woman isn’t a genre of music, but that vegan metalcore/hardcore is.
The concert begins with everything you’d expect from a vegan band influenced by 90s metalcore. Vegan struggle lyrics, big breakdowns, dissonant chords and a brand new clean snare that blew the venue away. Despite a diminished Sofia, the band’s performance remained impeccable and the first moshes of the evening began to appear. Franz, Sofia, Basil and Noah put on a wild show of energy, prompting the photographer to jam out to « Fleshbound ». Divine Sentence’s set was all about the convergence of struggles, combining veganism on « Silence Exécution », military conflict on « Armed Conflict », originally written for the Ukrainian/Russian conflict but echoing what is currently happening in Palestine, and feminism with a song taken from the band’s forthcoming EP.
The evening left us sweating with the desire to continue the fight for animal liberation. A task that still seems complicated in view of the choices made by the French government.
