On profite d’un week-end parisien pour se rendre ce samedi 8 février au Zénith Paris La Villette pour une date unique en Europe. Pour cette soirée, Apashe prend les commandes afin de faire vibrer la salle, annoncée complète depuis quelque temps déjà. Pour créer l’ambiance parfaite, il est accompagné pendant son set d’un orchestre philharmonique et de nombreux invités. Mais la soirée débute bien avant cela avec un set de Wasiu mélangeant hip-hop et électro, suivi de Leblanc qui apporte un côté un peu plus techno et cinématique avant de laisser place à Mr Tout Le Monde, qui a subjugué la foule par sa versatilité.

Une fois les portes ouvertes, tout commence très vite pour plonger dans l’ambiance la foule qui arrive rapidement. À 18h45, Wasiu est déjà derrière ses platines pour offrir une belle introduction à la soirée. Il collabore depuis longtemps avec Apashe sur ses projets pour ajouter sa touche hip-hop, et c’est bien ce que l’on retrouve dans son set avec quelques remix de l’artiste. Wasiu n’hésite pas à communiquer avec le public, leur demandant de crier plus fort, de sauter plus haut et lançant la fameuse phrase des shows d’Apashe : il dit « Majestic », et la foule répond « Squad ».
Chacun des artistes amène sa touche, renforcée par des visuels représentant les arts sous toutes leurs formes : sculptures, architecture, tableaux romantiques, mais aussi des éléments naturels. Sur « Catch Me », c’est le feu qui domine la scène de part le visuel et la pyrotechnie, accentuant l’idée d’un monde au bord du chaos. Vladimir Cauchemar refait une apparition derrière les platines pendant qu’Apashe demande : « Paris, are you ready?? » avant de lancer « RIP ». Des morceaux inédits et des anciens titres joués uniquement en live ponctuent la soirée, tandis qu’Apashe échange volontiers avec le public, mêlant français et anglais, conscient que certains ont voyagé de loin pour cette date unique.
Pour le dernier morceau, un circle pit s’ouvre à la demande de l’artiste. Mais la soirée n’est pas encore terminée : avant de clore cette performance épique, Apashe nous offre une exclusivité, prouvant qu’il ne compte pas s’arrêter là. Le piano à queue revient sur scène, et Wasiu ainsi qu’Apashe nous demandent d’accueillir Worakls. Si des doutes pouvaient subsister quant à cette collaboration, ils sont rapidement balayés. Les styles d’Apashe et Worakls se marient parfaitement, créant une atmosphère envoûtante où électro et musique classique se mêlent, tandis que Wasiu ajoute une touche de rap par-dessus. Le Zénith est en transe, et le tonnerre d’applaudissements à la fin du set en dit long : si la nuit avait pu se prolonger, personne n’aurait quitté la salle.
Cette soirée au Zénith Paris La Villette a offert une expérience musicale immersive et unique. Entre performances scéniques impressionnantes, collaborations marquantes et scénographie grandiose, Apashe et ses invités ont su transporter le public dans un univers hors du commun. Une chose est sûre : cette date parisienne du « Antagonist Tour 2.0 » restera gravée dans les mémoires.
We’re taking advantage of a weekend in Paris to head to Le Zénith Paris La Villette on Saturday February 8th for a unique date in Europe. On this night, Apashe takes the stage to rock the venue, which has been sold out for some time now. To create the perfect atmosphere, he is accompanied during his set by a philharmonic orchestra and a host of guests. But the evening started well before that, with Wasiu mixing hip-hop and electro, followed by Leblanc, who brought a more techno and cinematic edge to the proceedings, before Mr Tout Le Monde wowed the crowd with his versatility.

Once the doors are open, things get off to a flying start, as the crowd quickly arrives. At 6.45pm, Wasiu is already behind his decks to provide a great introduction to the evening. He’s been collaborating with Apashe on his projects for a long time, adding his own hip-hop touch, and that’s exactly what we find in his set, with a few remixes by the artist. Wasiu doesn’t hesitate to communicate with the audience, asking them to shout louder, jump higher and throw out the famous phrase from Apashe‘s shows: he says ‘Majestic’, and the crowd responds ‘Squad’.
No time for a transition, the lights in the room still haven’t gone out and the crowd continues to arrive as Leblanc takes over without a word. The bass seems much more present than it was for Wasiu, yet his set is calmer than the previous one. The link with Apashe is still very clear: Leblanc offers us a mix of techno and classical music, giving it a much more cinematic dimension. During this hour, there is no exchange with the audience, who perhaps seem a little less immersed than during the previous set.
After a short break, there was a quick change of scenery. The turntables disappear to make way for synthesizers accompanied by other machines and a microphone on a stand. Mr Tout Le Monde takes his place, his face behind a golden mask. He transports the audience into his world. The lights go down, giving way to images projected on the screens, and an almost intimate atmosphere settles in. Mr Tout Le Monde alternates between quiet, calm, sung moments and more electro instrumental flights of fancy, with powerful bass beats that send the whole room into a frenzy. His voice, easily reminiscent of Woodkid, blends in as much as it stands out from the rest, making the whole thing impressive. He also takes the time to address the audience, thanking them and introducing some of the songs written during difficult times, such as ‘Thinking Of’ and ‘Never Known’, which just went gold last week. Between his voice, his instrumentals and the visuals in the background, he managed to completely captivate the Zenith.
Last but not least, Apashe have prepared a very special live show for us. For the ‘Antagonist Tour 2.0’, Paris is the only date in Europe. After touring with the Brass Orchestra, the Brussels-based producer is back in force with a symphony orchestra. The musicians enter in the half-light, dressed in long black capes with hoods pulled up, creating an almost mystical atmosphere. The atmosphere doesn’t stop there: the first notes echo under a starry sky before Apashe appears behind his turntables to thunderous blasts as he opens ‘King’. Placed high up and surrounded by the orchestra, in a setting that plunges us into a fairytale world, he makes a stunning entrance, as does the audience, who are ready to go wild. It’s impossible not to be absorbed when everything fits together so well. Apashe takes the opportunity to invite a number of friends, including Vladimir Cauchemar, with whom he has just released an EP. As you’d expect, the latter makes two appearances, marked by the addition of pyrotechnics on ‘Bellatores’ and ‘Laboratores’. Just when you think you’ve got the maximum amount of power and pleasure from the artist, Apashe unveils ever more surprises and energy. Wasiu returned to the stage to lay down his rap, which went so well with the producer’s compositions. Later, in the darkness, a grand piano is set up so that Ymir can give a magnificent rendition of ‘Never Change’, a track that grows in intensity with every note. Other guests included Cherry Lena, with whom Apashe has been collaborating for several years, as well as La Zarra and the duo Mayfly.
Each of the artists brings his or her own touch, reinforced by visuals representing the arts in all their forms: sculptures, architecture, romantic paintings, but also natural elements. On ‘Catch Me’, it’s fire that dominates the stage with its visuals and pyrotechnics, accentuating the idea of a world on the brink of chaos. Vladimir Cauchemar makes another appearance behind the turntables as Apashe asks: ‘Paris, are you ready?..’ before launching into ‘RIP’. The evening was punctuated by previously unreleased tracks and old favourites played live only, while Apashe chatted happily to the audience, mixing French and English, aware that some had travelled a long way for this unique date.
For the last track, a circle pit opens up at the artist’s request. But the evening isn’t over yet: before bringing this epic performance to a close, Apashe offers us an exclusive, proving that he has no intention of stopping there. The grand piano returns to the stage, and Wasiu and Apashe ask us to welcome Worakls. If there were any doubts about this collaboration, they were quickly dispelled. The styles of Apashe and Worakls blend perfectly, creating a spellbinding atmosphere where electro and classical music mingle, while Wasiu adds a touch of rap on top. The Zénith is in a trance, and the thunderous applause at the end of the set says it all: if the night could have gone on, no one would have left the hall.
The evening at Zénith Paris La Villette was an immersive and unique musical experience. With impressive stage performances, memorable collaborations and grandiose set design, Apashe and his guests transported the audience into an extraordinary universe. One thing’s for sure: this Paris date on the Antagonist Tour 2.0 will be one to remember.
